Glowing Review: Mharsanta Hits a Home Run with American Food Blogger

We were delighted to come across a glowing review of Mharsanta, our Scottish restaurant in the heart of Glasgow’s Merchant City, from a travelling food blogger who visited us during their trip around the UK and Ireland.

After what they described as a string of underwhelming meals, they were thrilled to find traditional Scottish fare done right at Mharsanta — calling their three-course lunch “a home run” and the Cullen Skink “one of the best soups, period!”

From the Haggis, Neeps and Tatties to the Steak & Sausage Pie, and desserts like our Luxury Caramel Shortcake, they praised the flavours, quality, and generous portions. They also gave a special mention to our warm hospitality — including excellent service from one of our team members currently studying in Scotland.
