Famous for our Bourbon, a type of American Whiskey, a distilled alcohol, barrel-aged and made primarily from corn. All Bourbon can be characterised as an American Whiskey, but not all American Whiskies can be classed as Bourbon!

Van Winkle is Glasgow’s go to Bourbon Bar, proudly serving up Scotland’s largest selection of Bourbon.

In order for an American Whiskey to achieve the title of ‘Bourbon’, the spirit needs to be made in the USA (95% of Bourbon production comes for Kentucky), there must also be at least 51% corn in it’s mash (recipe) and must be aged in a new, charred oak barrel.
